The common archduke is a big forest butterfly from tropical Asia. The male is black with shimmering blue-green edges, while the female is brown with rows of yellow spots. They look so different you might think they are two kinds of butterfly.

What does it eat?
Grown-ups mostly drink juice from rotting fruit, and sometimes nectar. The caterpillars eat the leaves of Cratoxylum trees.
