Grey pansy

The grey pansy is a pale lavender grey butterfly with wavy dark lines across its wings. Along the edges it has a row of eyespots ringed with yellow. When it sits with its wings open, it looks soft and silvery.

South and Southeast Asia, from India to China, Indonesia and the Philippines, in wet fields and gardens
