Moellenkampi beetle

The Moellenkampi beetle is a huge rhinoceros beetle from the island of Borneo. Big males have three long horns, two on the back and one on the head. Its shell shines like polished metal.

Small males have short horns and are much more peaceful.
Its babies, called grubs, can weigh as much as 100 grams, about as heavy as a bar of chocolate.
Growing from egg to beetle takes 13 to 18 months.
