The geranium argus is a small dark brown butterfly with white edges on its wings. It hardly ever leaves its favourite flowers, the wild geraniums called cranesbills. It even sleeps in them at night.

What does it eat?
The butterfly spends its time around cranesbill flowers. The caterpillars eat cranesbills and storksbills, and some live inside the seed pods.
