Fun facts
It is the most common bug of its kind in the eastern United States.
A small gland on its leg makes sticky goo, which works like a glue trap for catching insects.
Tiny babies cannot make the glue yet, so they use sticky stuff their mother left on the eggs.
The eggs are laid in groups of 20 to 50 on leaves and look like little cones with flat tops.
