Conical trashline orbweaver

Cyclosa conica
Eats: Other bugs and small animalsSpidersGardens and meadows8 legsNot an insect, but a bug cousin

This small spider decorates its web with a line of leftovers: old insect bodies and little bits of rubbish. Then it sits right in that line and hides. Its colours match the rubbish so well that you only see it when it moves.

Fun fact: spiders are not insects. Insects have six legs, spiders have eight. Everyone calls them bugs anyway!
