The Oregon stag beetle is a small stag beetle from western North America. It has a black head and shiny blue wing cases. Its jaws are longer than its head and curve gently upwards.

In one area on the coast of Oregon, the beetles have black and green wing cases instead of blue.
Only 16 of these beetles are kept in museums and labs, spread over six places.
Its babies eat rotting wood from maple, madrone, oak, alder and other trees.
It was first described in 1844 by John O. Westwood, from beetles found in Oregon.
