Common silverline

The common silverline is a small butterfly with two thin tails on each back wing. Underneath, its wings are pale yellow with red-brown bands lined with silver. Its feelers are black with white dots and a red tip.

Its wings are about 2.5 to 3.5 centimetres from tip to tip.
When it is drinking nectar it is hard to disturb, and if it flies off, it comes right back to the same spot.
There are the most of them during the monsoon rains.
On top, the male is dark brown with a violet shine and orange-red bands.
