The stone spider is a small, dark wolf spider that lives near water in the United States and Canada. It loves stony beaches, where it sits in the sun and waits for food to come close. It is very common on some beaches.

Fun fact: spiders are not insects. Insects have six legs, spiders have eight. Everyone calls them bugs anyway!
