Metallic blue jumper

The metallic blue jumper is a small jumping spider that shines green and blue like a jewel. Females are greener and males bluer. Unlike most jumping spiders, it builds a little house by stitching two green leaves together.

How fast is it?
Fun facts
To stick two leaves together it makes silk rivets. Each rivet takes about half an hour, and a nest has four to ten of them.
It often builds its nest on a plant called the spider lily.
Its white egg sacs are two to three times bigger than the spider itself.
In Southeast Asia, people keep the males in matchboxes and let them fight. A spider that wins again and again is called first king.
Scientists have counted twelve different moves that males use when they fight, including pushing.
