Grass webworm moth

The grass webworm is a small moth that does everything at night. Mating, laying eggs, hatching, eating and growing all happen in the dark. Its caterpillars live in little tubes of grass leaves lined with silk.

A grown-up moth lives for only about 13 days.
Its caterpillar grows to about 2 centimetres and can be green or brown, sometimes a little pink.
